„We just put the finishing touches on the video for Rock on and will have it out in a week,“ says Sölvi Blöndal, member of Quarashi. Members of the band shot the video over the weekend, but Eilífur Örn Þrastarson from Snark directed it. „Both skaters and bikers are heavily featured.“ Sölvi adds, but among the props used in the video is an amazing motorcycle.
„The bike is a 100th anniversary special edition of a Harley Davidson Road King, it has a 1450cc engine and has been pimped out with monkey swing and forward controls as well as removing excessive chrome. The bike belongs to Birgir Axelsson who inherited it from his father who died a few years ago,“ says Sölvi.
Quarashi released Rock On in the middle of May and is it the first song they’ve released in a decade. The song contains many nods to their formative years.
The band will be performing at this years Þjóðhátíð in Eyjar over the Verslunarmannahelgi.
„The song is a journey into the great nineties nostalgia that Quarashi represents.“ Sölvi adds.
