“What do you know about Quarashi?”

 

… A simple and mundane question but a moving force in the lives of two girls who at the age of 16 were already tasting all the music they could, devouring and digesting it.

The words, uttered by Una, one of the founders of the Quarashi-Vibe started a chain reaction that lead to its creation.

After the question was posed and answered to the best of Alex’s (other founder of the vibe) abilities the girls soon forgot all about it. Until circumstances that are thoroughly explained elsewhere on this site led to the creation of The Quarashi-Vibe.

But why? Was The Quarashi Vibe merely a place to unload information to? To talk about their favorite band?

What truly motivated us to create The Quarashi Vibe was a deep sense of thankfulness. The music Quarashi made was constantly a source of encouragement, fun and adventure. It inspired what was best in us and was the one constant in a perpetually changing world.

Quarashi inspired conversations about politics, philosophy, the meaning of life and made us think in a way that we had never before. The band was also with us in times of leisure and pure fun. Everything good we remember is laced with their words, their beat and their voices and because of that we feel as if we were a part of something bigger, a part of the magic they wield when they are on stage.

For two people whose problem has always been direction, Quarashi set a shining beacon of example for us to follow, something to aspire to.

In all of this adulation and the work we have taken on ourselves because of it we have also come across many amazing people and this has made our work for The Vibe even more enjoyable and important to us. The fan-base of Quarashi is made up of such amazing components that we believe somewhere in the stars it must be written that to be allowed as a fan you must simply be awesome.

As for our favorite colors, our taste in music and what size shoes we wear if you want to know you can always send us an e-mail, we are always happy to make new friends in the Quarashi community.
